"what did i sign up for?"
thanks for the tip
back in the states
it's been a good month since i've been back in texas and every now and then i really miss london. it especially hits me when the weather's cool or there's a nice breeze. it's amazing how much weather, smell and sound can really take you back to a place.
there were a few things i didn't post about during my time in london, so expect a few more posts before i close the chapter on "london summer 08."
cheers, my dears.

Hreshdagayeen- Angelic
Here's a clip of "Hreshdagayeen" (Angelic) sung by the St. Yeghiche Choir in the Gomidasian style. I really loved their version and looked forward to it every week. Hope you enjoy it, too.
(and my, "I feel really bad doing this in church" is in reference to recording, jarbeeg ones)

On days other than Easter and Christmas
too much national geographic
orwell, you brilliant fuck
just a reminder:
i've grown accustomed to her face
all or nothing
it's universally understood that the brits have bad teeth. not too attractive, you know? but i recently discovered the key to making it work: no teeth.
look, either you have all your teeth and keep them in good condition, or you get rid of them...all. then, you'll look like the cute, old man i saw the other day (who inspired this post) :)

whatever happened to
protest, the way it used to be?
i met up with an old friend of my father yesterday. he moved to london at seventeen for studies, and told me stories about the time he and thousands of other university students took over the streets and universities of london to protest the vietnam war.
take a look at lse back in the day, a hot spot for all sorts of protests and social movements.
i know there are lots of ways to make a statement or create change, but God knows the crimes happening now are just as horrendous as the crimes that happened decades ago- and demand just as much passion and outrage as they did in the '60s and '70s.
so, what happened?
